Fire Marshal

Effective 8:00am Friday July 13, 2018 there is a Burn Ban on residential and commercial open burning. Recreation Fires are still allowed with certain criteria. Please read the Fire Marshal Press Release for more details.

Responsibilities


The Fire Marshal’s Office team works as part of the Building Services Division and in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office and the county fire districts to provide a wide spectrum of fire prevention and building safety services.

The Fire Marshal’s Office:
  • Conducts annual fire and life safety inspections
  • Conducts fire and arson investigations
  • Issues permits for sprinkler and alarm systems, above ground and underground fuel tank removal / installation / repair, firework displays, fireworks stands, open burning, and special events
  • Provides plan review for land use and commercial construction
