Masks and Social Distancing Mandatory at County Courthouse

Presiding Superior Court Judge Garrett has issued an administrative order on public health measures to protect the safety and security of all people in the County Courthouse effective Monday May 11, 2020. This order requires that all employees, vendors, attorneys and members of the public:

  • Wear a mask or face covering to enter the Courthouse and while in public areas
  • Maintain six-foot physical distancing while in the Courthouse
  • Wash hands prior to entering the Courthouse

This order follows well published recommendations from the Whatcom County Health Department and CDC.

If you do plan on visiting the County Courthouse, please remember to bring your own mask. A limited number of masks are available for visitors at the security station in the rotunda at the north entrance.
