The Whatcom County Auditor's Office provides a diverse group of
services to the citizens of the county. Here's a little bit about who
we are.
Shirley
Forslof
has served as County Auditor since 1988. Before that she
was the Supervisor of Elections for the county. Shirley has been
designated a Certified Election Official by the Secretary of State,
and has been recognized as a Certified Professional County Official
by the University of Washington Graduate school of Public Affairs.
In addition she is active in the Whatcom County Community.
Shirley is the Chair of the Washington State Election Administration

Debbie
Adelstein became Chief Deputy Auditor in June 2004. She obtained her Certified Election Administrator certificate in February, 2007. She previously served for two years as the Recording and Licensing Supervisor in the Auditor’s Office. Prior to moving to the Auditor’s Office, she worked in the Executive’s Office. She serves on several county committees including the conservation committee, IT strategic planning committee, and joint Auditor / Treasurer / Assessor cooperating committee. dadelste@co.whatcom.wa.us
Pete
Griffin serves as Election Supervisor. He is a
Certified Election Administrator. He has been a member of various election-related State committees including the "Voter Registration Database
Advisory Committee" the "State-wide Voter Registration
Database Project" the "Washington Election Information Committee" and is currently on the
"Elections WAC Review Committee".
He is a member of various state Election Systems User's Groups as well. pgriffin@co.whatcom.wa.us
Fred
Williams is the Internal Auditor. He has over a decade of experience in government and non-profit auditing, accounting and investigative reporting. He is a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors, the Washington State Local Government Auditor's Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. He recently passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor exam.

Stacy Henthorn serves as the Recording and Licensing Supervisor. Her experience as a clerk in both Licensing and Recording gives her a special ability to provide excellent service in supervising these divisions.
