Where to Send Application

Applications for vacancies should be faxed, mailed, or delivered to the Council office for Council-appointed boards and commissions, or to the Executive's office for Executive-appointed boards and commissions, unless otherwise noted under each vacancy.

Vacancies on boards and commissions occur frequently.  See each individual board page for current vacancies, or contact us. Board members are appointed without compensation unless otherwise noted. All members must be registered voters, residents of Whatcom County, and if applicable, reside in the area they represent.

Applications are available in online or in person at the Council and Executive offices.

Applications for Council board vacancies should be faxed, mailed, or delivered to the Council Office unless otherwise noted.

Applications for Executive board vacancies should be submitted to the Executive's office. Often vacancies are filled by reappointment to a second term by current position holders.

Requirements

All members must be registered voters, residents of Whatcom County, and if applicable, reside in the area they represent.  Members serve without compensation unless otherwise noted.
