Whatcom County Seeking Members for the Civil Service Commission; Other Advisory Boards and Committees
Looking for ways to serve your community? Vacancies exist on several citizen committees that advise the County Council and County Executive on important, high-profile topics, including sheriff’s civil service rules, public health and human services issues, senior services, surface mining, community network, and more.
Vacancies on County boards, commissions and committees offer Bellingham and greater Whatcom County citizens rich opportunities to serve their community. Some vacancies have additional requirements, such as professional memberships, expertise in particular areas, or residence in certain neighborhoods.
Candidates for all positions must be registered voters, residents of Whatcom County and, if applicable, reside in the area they represent. Anyone with an interest in serving may pick up an application from the Reception Desk at either the County Council office or County Executive office at the County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham.
