Whatcom County Parks & Recreation offers great places to have a big picnic, reunion, wedding or other event. Reservations for 2010 begin December 1.

Make plans to reserve campsites or cabins at Lighthouse Marine Park and Silver Lake Park. 2010 Reservations for county residents begin January 1.

Semiahmoo Cannery Lodge is a great place for your "wedding in the park."

Whatcom County Parks & Recreation has something for everyone.  Whether you are looking for a stroll by the beach or a strenuous climb to a mountain top, you can find it here.  Watch Orca whales swimming or bald eagles feasting. Touch history at a museum or pioneer homestead. Find the perfect campsite by a mountain lake or close to the surf.  Take a little down time in a rustic cabin. Have a big picnic or a romantic sunset dinner for two.
