“Whatcom 2031” is our review and update of the Comprehensive Plan and 10-year review of our Urban Growth Areas (UGAs), a requirement of the Growth Management Act. During the next three years we will be working with Whatcom County residents to establish a vision for the next 20 years, review and revise urban growth areas, work on coordination of growth management plans with cities and construct a strategy for achieving that vision.
The comprehensive plan serves as the policy foundation for growth and development for the next twenty years. We hope that you check back frequently for updates to this site and participate in activities. We need your help to build a plan that fulfills your vision for Whatcom County!
