The Civil Division serves legal documents throughout the county, performs evictions and enforces the orders of the court. The Civil Division is also responsible for carrying out Orders of Sale and Writs of Execution, Attachment, Restitution, Replevin and Habeas Corpus. These duties often include levying on real and personal property wherein a Sheriff’s Sale often ensues. Orders must be reviewed for legal sufficiency to limit the liability of the Sheriff and his deputies.
Please note the separate links provided to access information regarding the requirements that must be met in order for the Civil Division to carry out the service of process or the execution of a court order.
