Reservations


Camping


  • A non-refundable reservation fee of $13 is charged for each reserved site, for each set of consecutive days
  • ADA campsites may only be reserved with a disability placard or card
    • Upon arrival at the park the placard or card must be presented to the park ranger; the person with the qualifying placard or card must be present throughout the reservation period
  • During the peak season (04/01 – 10/31) weekend reservations must be for both Friday and Saturday night (2 night minimum and no more than 14 consecutive days)
  • Reservations cannot exceed 14 consecutive days in a 30 day period
  • Payment in full is required when reservation is made
  • Reservations can be made up to 48 hours prior to arrival
  • Reservations can be made starting the first business day in December at 9:00am
    for the following year

Cabins & Lakeside Lodge


  • A non-refundable reservation fee of $13 is charged for each reserved cabin, for each set of consecutive reservations
  • During the peak season (04/01 – 10/31) weekend reservations must be for both Friday and Saturday night
  • Cabins and Lakeside Lodge require a two night minimum stay. An exception may be made if only one night is available between other reservations.
  • Reservations cannot exceed 14 consecutive days in a 30 day period
  • Payment in full is required when reservation is made
  • Reservations can be made up to 48 hours prior to arrival
  • Reservations can be made starting the first business day in December at 9:00am for the following year

Picnic Shelters & Facilities


  • A non-refundable reservation fee of $13 is charged for each reserved shelter or facility, for each set of consecutive days
  • Payment in full is required when reservation is made
  • Reservation requests made within 10 days of arrival require Ranger approval
  • Reservations can be made the first business day in December at 9:00am
    for the following year

Changing Camping, Cabin & Lodge Reservations


We understand that sometimes plans need to be changed. If you need to change your reservation 5 days or more in advance of your arrival date, we can transfer your reservation to another available date within the same calendar year, with a $13 transfer fee. Transferred reservations cannot be refunded at a later date.

Changing Picnic Shelter & Facilities Reservations


We understand that sometimes plans need to be changed. If you need to change your reservation 30 days or more in advance we can transfer your reservation to another available date within the same calendar year, with a $13 transfer fee. Transferred reservations cannot be refunded at a later date. Unless there is an emergency we cannot transfer any reservations in 29 days or less. All emergency transfers will be approved by management.

Camping, Cabin & Lodge Cancellation


  • Reservations cancelled 30 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date will be refunded all camping and use fees minus the non-refundable reservation fee.
  • Cancellations made 3 - 29 days prior to scheduled arrival will be refunded all except the first night stay camping fees and the reservation fee.
  • Cancellations 2 days or less to the scheduled arrival date will be refunded all except the first 3 nights stay camping fees and the reservation fee. If the reservation was for three days or less, no money will be refunded.

Picnic Shelter & Facilities Cancellation


  • Reservations cancelled 30 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date will be refunded all shelter and use fees minus the non-refundable reservation fee. 
  • Reservations cancelled 29 days or less will forfeit all fees.  

Whatcom County Parks Cancellation


Sometimes it may be necessary for Whatcom County Parks and Recreation to cancel your reservation due to park conditions or maintenance concerns. If we have to cancel your reservation for any reason you will get a full refund.

No-Shows


Your camping and cabin check in time is 2 p.m. Your reservation will be considered a no-show if you have not arrived by 11am the day after your arrival date, did not cancel your reservation, or did not contact park staff to let them know of your late arrival. Your reservation will be considered a no-show and all remaining nights will be canceled.

Determining Whatcom County Residency

  • The credit card billing address is what determines resident versus non-resident.
  • If the credit card address is not in Whatcom County but the customer is a county resident, they can provide a utility bill to get the resident rate.
  • If the credit card address is not in Whatcom County but the customer owns property in Whatcom County, the customer can provide property tax info to get the resident rate.


Alcohol Use - Picnic Shelters & Facilities 


  • Alcohol is prohibited in the restrooms, parking lot, or outside areas
  • Alcohol possession and/or consumption is restricted to the rental facility
  • The use of alcohol will require a signed alcohol agreement, a $60 alcohol use fee and may require a banquet permit from the Washington State Liquor Control Board

Damage & Clean Up - Picnic Shelters & Facilities


  • It is the responsibility of the renter to maintain the facility in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Place trash in provided dumpster or receptacle
  • Remove all decorations and clean tables and floors
  • Renters may be billed for any damages or cleaning costs if facility is not returned in the same condition

Renters must be supervised by an adult over 21 years of age.
