Starck Follis

Starck Follis is the Director of the Whatcom County Public Defender's Office.   Starck is in his twelfth year with the office, after many years in the Skagit County Public Defender (as Chief Deputy) and many years in private criminal defense practice.  

He graduated from the University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law, cum laude. Starck clerked for the Alaska Court of Appeals, served on the Board of Governors of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and has presented at numerous Continuing Legal Education Courses involving Criminal Law. He was admitted to practice law in Alaska and Washington in 1986 and is a member of the Bar for the Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington. Starck has served as pro tem judge at various courts throughout Whatcom County.
