Jane Boman is a Senior Deputy Public Defender at the Whatcom County Public Defender Office. Jane graduated from Whitman College, cum laude, in 2008. She attended the University of Washington School of Law and, upon graduation, she was awarded the Charles Z. Smith Award for Public Service. Jane was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2012.

Jane joined the Whatcom County Public Defender Office in April 2012. She currently practices in Superior Court, where she represents adults accused of felony crimes.

Jane has experience representing persons accused of misdemeanors and felonies. She has tried cases in District Court, Juvenile Court, and Superior Court, and she regularly litigates criminal legal motions. She has also represented adults in civil commitment proceedings.
