Project Status (July 2019)

The new playground at Lighthouse Marine Park has been installed and is now open to the public. The playground replaces an older structure that was beyond it's serviceable life.

Parks is nearing completion of a much needed repair to the boardwalk at the park. Repairs included replacing the boardwalks substructure, installing new composite decking and installing new light fixtures. Parks maintenance staff will soon begin making exterior upgrades to the restroom building and auxiliary building to wrap up the project.

Project History

The boardwalk was constructed in the early 1970's. This well-loved park feature has had a lot of use and required many repairs over the last several decades. Portions of the boardwalk were removed in 2015. Park staff worked to create a renovation plan that addresses the structural repairs and kept the aesthetic appeal.
