Recorded Document Search

Documents are available for search online through the Digital Research Room. All documents that can be viewed online have had Social Security numbers redacted; the numbers are not viewable.

All documents are indexed by names in the document (grantor/grantee), auditor file number, document date, and document type(s). Documents recorded after January 1,1997 are also indexed by Assessor's parcel number and the property's legal description. To view or research recorded documents:

  • 1960 - Present:   Document images and index information can be viewed online.
  • 1853 - 1997:   Document images and index information is available on microfilm in the Auditor's Office Public Research area.
  • 1889 and earlier: Early Washington State (Washington Territory until 1889) land records are largely federal records. Click on the following link to view the list of land records available at Washington State Library: https://www.sos.wa.gov/library/landrecords.aspx

Veteran service records are not accessible online and are available only to the veteran or veteran's next of kin. More information about veteran service records.
