Cedar Hills/Euclid Stormwater Improvements

Whatcom County And Wilson Engineering jointly developed this project to improve water quality of stormwater from the Cedar Hills sub-basin of the Lake Whatcom Watershed. Constructed during the summer of 2016, this project treats runoff from approximately 48 acres and is estimated to remove 27 pounds of phosphorus annually. The project was funded by grants from Whatcom County and Washington State Department of Ecology.

This project included the following:

  • Installation of bio-infiltration swales, storm filter vaults, and pretreatment structures.
  • Stream stabilization
