Status: Project improvements were installed July 7th. The Notice of Establishment for the Quiet Zone was sent to the Federal Railroad Association (FRA) on July 30th. Once this Notice is received by the FRA regular sounding of the train horn will cease after 21 days. Please be patient while the railroad makes the necessary improvements to their railway to accommodate this improvement.

Project Summary
This project proposes to install centerline channelization devices 100-feet either side of the railroad tracks at the Cliffside Drive crossing. The centerline channelization devices will provide supplemental safety and mitigate for the loss of the train horn once a quiet zone is established. The project will also include shoulder maintenance and upgrades to the railroad crossing warning lights.
