There are two Shellfish Protection District Advisory Committees: Drayton Harbor and Portage Bay. The duties of the Advisory Committees are to advise the County Council on the proposed actions and operations relating to the restoration of water quality in the Drayton Harbor watershed and Portage Bay watershed.
Meetings
Joint Drayton Harbor and Portage Bay Meetings are generally held quarterly, 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., on the last Wednesday of January, April, July, and October. Special meetings are held as needed.

Each Advisory Committee has 11 members, including two positions available for tribal representation. Nine members are appointed by the County Council

Applicants must be property owners who reside within the Shellfish Protection District and have a direct interest the district.
