Semiahmoo Park includes an extensive area of public tidelands, certainly one of the best places to go for a beach walk in Whatcom County. Check tides for best low tide times. Follow boardwalks to beach overlooks, then continue out onto the tidelands and follow the incoming tide along both sides of the spit.
Moderate, 1.6 miles loop
Enjoy spectacular views across Drayton Harbor to Mount Baker. Bring binoculars to watch birds and seals. This segment of the Coast Millennium Trail spans the length of Semiahmoo Park and extends north to the Semiahmoo Resort area and the seasonal Plover ferry to Blaine. Planned segments continue south to Birch Bay, Point Whitehorn, and all the way to Skagit County.
Easy, 0.8 mile loop
