Project Benefits

  • Improve Salmon and Riparian Habitat
  • Reduce Erosion threatening Levee and Road

During the winter of 2014-2015, rip rap protecting the river’s left bank scoured out in the vicinity of Abbott Road and Levee. Since then, the bank has eroded approximately 150 feet. Prior to this project, erosion eliminated much of the existing habitat and vegetation and threatened the stability of the Abbott Levee.
