Winter season is fast approaching and we are already seeing a big change in weather.  Here is a page of information on how to prepare for weather emergencies before they happen.  In the event of an emergency declaration we would redirect you to resources that provide up-to-date information on the specifics of that event.

• Flood Preparedness
  Whatcom County Public Works has compiled a comprehensive set of materials in their guide Flooding in Whatcom County, What to do Before, During and After a Flood. 
• Create a Two Week Kit
  See the instructions provided by the State of Washington Emergency Management Division to Create a Two Week Emergency Kit
• Staying Health and Safe During a Flood
  See information about drinking water, wells and keeping water safe during flood events.
• Snow and Ice Management 
  Residents are encouraged to prepare in advance for winter storms and stay home for their safety until roads are cleared and safe. The unique climate of Whatcom County can cause extreme weather in one area and relatively no impact in another.
