The Comprehensive Plan update, urban growth area (UGA) review, and development regulation amendment process will include a number of public meetings.  Meeting dates have not yet been determined, but will be posted on the County's website when scheduled. Please check this website for updates or call County Planning at 360-778-5900 to confirm meeting dates.
  
General Schedule

The County Council approved a generalized schedule for joint county and city review of UGAs.

Public Participation Plan

The County's general Public Participation Plan is available online.  A more detailed Public Participation Plan will be developed for the 2025 update.

Planning Commission

The Whatcom County Planning Commission will hold meetings relating to the Comprehensive Plan update, UGA review, population and employment allocations, and development regulation amendments starting in 2024.
