Pretrial Services

Pretrial Services provides Judicial Officers with impartial screening through the use of the Public Safety Assessment to promote fairness and equity in release decisions made by the Court.  Our goal is to provide defendants appropriate supervision and community resources necessary to minimize pretrial detention, maximize court appearances, and reduce failure to appear rates.

Pretrial Services:

Pretrial Services provides monitoring through scheduled office and telephonic appointments.  We provide clients with text message, email, and phone calls to remind them of court appointments and upcoming court appearances. Pretrial Services can help individuals access community-based resources for voluntary services such as:

  • Substance abuse treatment
  • Employment and educational services
  • Mental health treatment
  • Housing assistance
  • Limited WTA ride passes

Pretrial Services is responsible for notifying the Court, prosecuting attorney, and defense attorney if there are any alleged violations of pretrial release conditions.  Upon request, our office may inform counsel and provide reports of overall compliance while on pretrial supervision.

Your Responsibility:

  • Please stay in contact with your attorney!  If you need assistance finding your attorney’s contact information please call the Pretrial Services Office at 360-778-5630.
  • Comply with all court ordered conditions of release
  • Pretrial Services must be informed of current and up-to-date contact information such as cell phone number, email, and home/mailing address
  • Report by phone, text, email, or in-person as requested by a Pretrial Services case manager
