Records Management

Responsibilities
 
  • The Archiving section is the guardian of the legal records for all matters concerning public roads, highways, bridges, ditches, or surveys.
  • Original papers, documents, petitions, survey notes, and maps are retained. 
  • Records and documents date back to the mid-1800's.  

Safeguarding Records  

  • Records are safeguarded through the use of microfilm.
  • Records are easier to locate, handle, and preserve for generations to come. 
  • A statutory responsibility providing present and future owners of property with historical and legal information.
Public Access
 
  • The public at large can access these records and documents. 
  • Staff is prepared to assist with  questions and requests.
