Meetings


The Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee meets monthly, usually on the 3rd Thursday of the month.  Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. and currently are held virtually via Zoom meeting.


 Any change in meeting date, time, or information on Special Meetings will be publicized in the local media.

There are currently 5 members of the Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee (with 2 vacant positions):

Alison Calder - Point Roberts Voters' Association rep
Grant Heitman - At Large member
Annelle Norman - Point Roberts Taxpayers Association rep
Katherine Smith - At Large member
William Zidel - At Large member
Vacant positions (2) - At Large members

Specifications

  • 1 representative from each of the following organizations:
    • Point Roberts Taxpayers' Association
    • Point Roberts Voters' Association
  • 5 lay members of the community to be appointed by the County Executive

Term Limit

  • 2 consecutive two-year terms (for at-large appointees)

Purpose

The Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee was created to provide advice and recommendations to the County Executive and the County Council regarding needs and issues specific to the Point Roberts community. The Committee has also taken over the duties of the Point Roberts Character Plan Advisory Committee and will review commercial development and signs in Point Roberts for consistency with the Point Roberts Character Plan.
