Boat-Hovander Opens in new window

Hovander Homestead Park

Boat on the Nooksack River as it meanders around the Hovander Homestead or venture onto Tennant Lake for fishing and bird watching.

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife boat launches are located at the north end of the park and near the Tennant Lake Interpretive Center. These boat launches require a Washington State Discover Pass for use.

*Access points only accommodate small boats or hand launched watercraft. Must navigate under a low bridge.

Lighthouse Marine Park

Hand launching is available from the beach at Lighthouse Marine Park.

A vehicle boat launch receives periodic maintenance and is often not available.

Boat Rentals (seasonal)
Canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and pedal boats are available to rent from the lodge during peak season.

Personal Boats
Hand launch boats from anywhere in the park.

The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife operates a vehicle boat launch outside the park off E Lake Samish Drive. Use of the WDFW boat ramp requires a Washington State Discover Pass.

Boat inspections and permits are required for boaters on Lake Samish.

Silver Lake Park

Boat Rentals (seasonal)
Canoes, 2-seat kayaks, rowboats, 2 and 4 seat pedal boats, and stand up paddle boats are available to rent from the lodge during peak season.

Personal Boats
A public boat launch is located inside the park near the main parking area.

The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife operates a boat launch outside the park on the north side of the lake off Camp Black Mountain Road. Use of the WDFW boat ramp requires a Washington State Discover Pass.
