The Whatcom Chief’s annual dry dock outage is scheduled for Saturday, April 29 – Saturday, May 20, 2023. These dates are tentative and subject to change. The Dry Dock webpage will be updated as more information becomes available (it currently reflects a recap of the 2022 dry dock).

As in previous years, a passenger-only ferry will provide transportation to and from Lummi Island while the Whatcom Chief is out of service. Shuttle service on the island will also be provided. Additional details will be published closer to the out-of-service dates.
