The Auditor’s Office is looking for individuals to serve on a committee to write a statement against Ferndale School District’s proposed $112,000,000 general obligation bonds that will be on the November 6 General Election ballot.  The statement against the proposed measure will appear in the Whatcom County Local Voters’ Pamphlet.  The District has appointed a “For” committee who will submit a statement in favor of the proposition.  They have not been able to identify an “Against” committee.

The Auditor believes it is in the voters’ best interest to have both sides represented.  Persons interested in participating should contact County Auditor Debbie Adelstein at (360) 778-5105 as soon as possible.  A statement against the proposed measure must be submitted by August 13.
