New legislation taking effect July 24, 2015, Substitute House Bill 1919, requires the For and Against Committee appointments that are to be made by the jurisdiction submitting a ballot measure are due by the resolution deadline for the election in which a ballot measure will appear. If your jurisdiction will have a ballot measure(s) on the General Election ballot, the following are due by the August 4, 2015 deadline:

• Resolution
• Explanatory Statement for the Local Voters' Pamphlet (now required for all elections)
• Completed Committee Appointment Form for the "For" Committee
• Completed Committee Appointment Form for the "Against" Committee
• Completed Ballot Measure Cover Sheet

The deadline date remains unchanged for the Committee Statement Form and the committee statement; they are due no later than Monday, August 17. The rebuttal statement is still due no later than Thursday, August 20.
