[ARCHIVED] Notice of February 12 Special Election

Registration Deadlines: Monday, January 14, is the deadline for mail-in registrations or address changes to be eligible to vote in the February 12 Special Election. January 14 also is the deadline for online registrations or address changes at www.myvote.wa.gov

After January 14, voters not currently registered in Washington State can register in person until 4:30 p.m., Monday, February 4, at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Suite 103, Bellingham. 

The election will be conducted within the boundaries of Nooksack Valley School District 506, Ferndale School District 502, and Concrete School District 11. Ballots will be mailed to registered voters within those districts at their mailing address on record. The February 12 ballot will include: 

Nooksack Valley School District 506 
Proposition 2019-1
General Obligation Bonds - $29,700,000 

Ferndale School District 502 
Proposition 2019-2
General Obligation Bonds - $112,000,000 

Concrete School District No. 11 
Proposition No. 1
Replacement of Expiring Levy for Educational Programs and Operations 

Voters Requiring Assistance & Other Information: Voting assistance for elderly or disabled individuals is available at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office or call (360) 778-5102. We gladly accept relay calls. Election and voter registration information, registration forms, and election ballots are also available at the Auditor’s Office. 

Voters’ Pamphlet: Refer to the Whatcom County Auditor’s website at www.whatcomcounty.us/auditor to view the online voters’ pamphlet. The Special Election Voters’ Pamphlet will also be mailed in the envelope with the ballot and will be available at the Auditor’s Office. 

Meeting Dates & Times: Open public meetings for the February 12 Special Election will be held on the dates and times listed below at the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Bellingham. Meeting dates, times, and/or locations are subject to change; please see our website at www.whatcomcounty.us/auditor or call (360) 778-5102 for updated information.
