There will be a special election Tuesday, February 12, for registered voters living in the Ferndale, Nooksack Valley, and Concrete School Districts. Ballots are being mailed today to voters living within those school districts, County Auditor Debbie Adelstein said. If a voter doesn’t receive their ballot by Friday, February 1, they should contact the Election Division of the Auditors Office at (360) 778-5102 right away.
Ballots can be returned in an official ballot drop box without postage up until 8:00 pm on Election Day, February 12. Open drop box locations and information about the ballot measure will be enclosed with the ballot or is available on the Auditor’s website.
If returning your ballot by mail, postage will once again be paid. The ballot must still have a postmark no later than February 12 to be counted, Auditor Adelstein advised. The USPS recommends mailing your ballot one week before Election Day.
