Beginning with the August 6, 2019 Primary Election, individuals can register to vote or update their registration information until 8:00 pm on Election Day by appearing in person at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office.
Registration Deadlines: If registering to vote online or by mail - or – if changing your address online or by mail, the Auditor’s Office must receive the information by July 29, 2019, to be eligible to vote in the August 6 Primary Election. Register to vote or change your address at www.myvote.wa.gov.
Citizens that miss the July 29 deadline, can still register to vote or change their address but must appear in person at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, 311 Grand Ave., Suite 103, Bellingham, by 8:00 pm, Election Day.
The election will be conducted entirely by mail and ballots will be mailed to all registered voters at their mailing address on record.
Voters Requiring Assistance & Other Information: Voting assistance for elderly or disabled individuals is available at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office or call (360) 778-5102. We gladly accept relay calls. Election and voter registration information, registration forms, and election ballots are also available at the Auditor’s Office.
Voters’ Pamphlet: For a list of candidates and Fire Protection District 7’s ballot measure, refer to the Whatcom County Auditor’s website to view the online voters’ guide. Voters’ pamphlets will be mailed to household addresses and available at the Auditor’s Office beginning July 17th.
