[ARCHIVED] Public Comments Requested for Scoping & Major Project Permit Application

The Department of Ecology and Whatcom County (co-lead agencies) have determined that the proposed Green Apple Renewable Fuels facility may have likely adverse impacts on the environment and are launching scoping for an environmental impact statement (EIS). We are asking the public, stakeholders and the tribes to give us input on what should be included in the EIS. A public comment period will run from January 16 – February 18, 2020. This public comment will be for the EIS scoping and the Notice of Application for a Whatcom County major project permit that will be required for this facility. No permit decisions will be made until after the EIS is completed. For more information on commenting and upcoming public meetings, please see the Planning Green Apple Renewable Fuels Facility Website and the Department of Ecology Website.
