[ARCHIVED] Planning & Development & Public Works Engineering Change In Service

Whatcom County Government is committed to reducing the threat of the Coronavirus or COVID-19 and caring for the health and well-being of our employees, customers and our communities. In response to the public health concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19,  the Whatcom County Planning & Development Services (PDS) and Public Works Engineering Services departments will be temporarily closed to public “in person” services effective Wednesday March 18, 2020. (Our lobby/Permit Center is temporarily closed to the public until further notice.) However, we are still very much “open for business”. We will continue to provide services for permit processing and staff will be available to assist customers and the public via telephone, email and video conferencing options.

We encourage our customers to utilize the following online and telephone options:

Planning and Development Website               Phone: 360-778-5900    [email protected]

Public Works Engineering Services Website  Phone: 360-778-6220    [email protected]

We recognize this is a challenging time for all and we remain deeply committed to the safety of our customers and employees. We will continue to monitor developments, adjust where necessary and do our part to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.
