[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County COVID-19 Update for March 20

As of today, there are a total of ten (10) confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Whatcom County.  This includes three new confirmed cases identified by the Whatcom County Health Department on March 19.  One new case is a male in his 60s.  Another is a female in her 50s. 

The third new case is a male in his 80s who is a resident of a skilled nursing facility.  The Whatcom County Health Department is working closely with the Washington State Department of Health and facility administrators to take measures to protect facility residents and staff.  This includes testing all residents and testing all symptomatic employees.
