[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County Auditor Implements New Document Recording and Imaging System

Bellingham, WA, September 29, 2015 – Debbie Adelstein, Whatcom County Auditor, announced the implementation of Helion Software as the new document recording and imaging system. Whatcom County is the fourth county in Washington State to use the product from Helion Software, Inc. “We’re very excited about the enhanced functionality offered by the Helion system” says Adelstein. The County went live on the new system September 28, 2015.

The Helion recording system enables the County to improve public service by streamlining processes when recording land records and applying for marriage licenses. The new system delivers efficiencies throughout the County recording process, and incorporates numerous features such as enhanced public record access and document searching, a more efficient e-Recording process and the ability to transmit records to the State Digital Archives, and a fully integrated on-line marriage application process.

Along with the Helion system, auto-indexing and auto-redaction capability is provided utilizing integrated software AI-Index and AI-Redact from Mentis Technologies. The County also selected the Silent Cube from GID for archiving of the permanent land and marriage records.
