[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE FOR 2020 ROAD SHOULDER HERBICIDE PROGRAM - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Approximately 250 miles of roads are normally scheduled for seasonal treatment, however due to COVID 19 and staffing, we will only be treating certain safety locations and noxious sites this year. Lawns and yard areas may have a minimum 12” wide strip treated to aid in drainage and minimize pavement damage.

Property owners who do not wish to have their adjoining right-of-way treated have the option of maintaining the right-of-way abutting their property. Agreements to this effect may be signed and “Owner Will Maintain” signs obtained from Maintenance and Operations, 901 West Smith Road between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is no charge for this service.
