You’ve been hearing a lot from us about how public health plays an important role in keeping our community healthy. Although much of the Health Department staff has been busy responding to the COVID-19 crisis and our offices are temporarily closed to visitors, we want to assure you that many of our other services are still available.
- You can still order birth and death certificates to be delivered through the mail at this time. For more information call (360) 778-6003.
- Food worker cards are available through our website.
- Applications and correspondence for Food, Water and Septic programs are still being accepted by mail, or via our mail slot at 509 Girard Street (accessed from Grand Avenue). Receipts for payments will be delivered electronically.
- Finaled water and septic permit information is available through our website.
- We are still investigating all complaints that we receive. To file a complaint, call the Health Department at (360) 778-6000, or email [email protected].
- Our Syringe Services Program is operating at 1500 State Street on Thursdays from 2:30-4:00pm.
- Our veteran’s specialist is still providing one-on-one Veteran’s Services via phone appointments. Call us at (360) 778-6000 to schedule.
- Our Nurse Family Partnership nurses continue to provide virtual in-home visits for first time, low-income moms.
- And … we are still investigating other communicable diseases! While COVID-19 is currently taking the spotlight, our disease investigators are continuing to follow tuberculosis, hepatitis C, flu, and other communicable diseases in our community.
If you have immediate questions about our services, please contact us by phone or email.
We are committed to reducing the threat of COVID-19, while providing as many of our regular services as possible. We are grateful for the actions our community has taken to limit the spread of this disease, by staying home, staying informed, wearing cloth masks, and helping your neighbors. Thank you for doing your part to keep your community healthy.
