[ARCHIVED] Appraisers starting on-site new construction inspections

Appraisers from the Assessor’s Office are starting on-site new construction inspections for properties issued building permits within the last year. Appraisers are following the rules and recommendations of the Governor and Whatcom County Health Department to keep a safe and healthy work environment for employees and the public. Appraisers will wear masks and maintain physical distance at all times during inspections. Inspections include an exterior walk around, taking pictures, and verification of building dimensions. Appraisers drive white vehicles with the county emblem, have orange vests, and carry identification. Though our office is closed to the public, the staff is working and can be reached via mail, phone or e-mail. Please call 360-778-5050 with any questions or concerns.
