Due to poor air quality, Whatcom Unified Command, upon public health recommendation by the Whatcom County Health Department, has decided to close the drive-through testing operations tomorrow morning.
Dr. Greg Stern, Whatcom County Health Officer, recommended that testing be postponed in order to protect those scheduled for testing, as well as staff, from unhealthy air quality.
The morning testing scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon tomorrow, September 14th, at Civic Field at 1355 Civic Field Way in Bellingham is cancelled.
At this time, Whatcom Unified Command is planning to hold COVID-19 testing tomorrow afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Civic Field, pending forecasted improved air quality tonight and tomorrow morning. Testing tomorrow afternoon may be canceled if the forecasted air quality improvements do not occur.
Those with appointments for tomorrow morning should go to the TestDirectly.com website to reschedule for Monday afternoon, or another convenient time and location.
You can find a list of other testing locations on our testing page at whatcomcounty.us/covidtesting#testloc.
For any changes to the testing schedule please monitor this website - whatcomcounty.us/covidtesting - or the Health Department Facebook
