High winds could cause ferry service disruptions Thursday night and Friday

Windy conditions have already delayed or canceled ferry service to Lummi Island this week, and forecasters are predicting that a stronger system will arrive Thursday night and Friday. Travelers should prepare for ferry delays due to weather associated with this storm system. Timing for the strongest winds is generally from midnight tonight through noon on Friday, but that timing could change.

  • Please be patient while in the ferry line and remember that any weather-related delays are done for the safety of our passengers and crew.
  • Check our ferry Twitter account for any unscheduled delays or cancellations due to weather.
  • Be sure to dress for the weather conditions if you plan to take the passenger-only ferry.
