Debbie Adelstein, Whatcom County Auditor, announces that the official filing week for candidates for ditch, diking, drainage, drainage improvement, and flood control districts in Whatcom County will begin at 8:30 a.m. on December 7, 2015 and continue until 4:30 p.m. on December 11, 2015.

To run for office candidates must be registered voters in the State of Washington and own property within the district. Candidates must file a Declaration of Candidacy either by mail or in person at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, 311 Grand Ave., Suite 103, Bellingham. Declarations of Candidacy must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11.
