[ARCHIVED] Harborview Rd/Birch Bay Dr Stormwater Project Construction Starts January 4

Interwest Construction, Inc. will construct stormwater improvements along Harborview Road and Birch Bay Drive to upgrade drainage systems. These improvements include installing 2,000 linear feet of new storm pipe, installing 22 new catch basins, and constructing a new outfall into Birch Bay near the Harborview Road / Birch Bay Drive intersection. 

 This project will be split into two phases:

 Phase 1: Outfall Pipe and one (1) Catch Basin

This work is located across the street from Bay Properties / Birch Bay Center Market. A new outfall pipe into Birch Bay with a new catch basin will be installed on the water side of Birch Bay Drive.

  • Construction: January 4, 2020 through January 15, 2020. The schedule is weather dependent.
  • Working hours: Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, except for night work on January 11th and January 12th from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
  • Traffic will often be reduced to one lane with flagged traffic control.
  • Expect minor delays.

 Phase 2: New Stormwater Pipe and New Catch Basins on Harborview Road and Birch Bay Drive

Construction: September 7, 2021 through October 25, 2021. The schedule is weather dependent.

  • Working hours: Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Traffic will often be reduced to one lane with flagged traffic control.
  • Expect minor delays.
