[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County COVID-19 Vaccine Update for 2/16/21

Providers in Whatcom County are due to receive zero first doses and 2,400 second doses of COVID-19 vaccine for the week of Feb. 15. To date, providers in Whatcom County have received a total of 17,825 initial doses. As of Feb. 10, 21,252 (9.43%) Whatcom County residents have received their first dose.

First and second dose amounts have gotten out of balance in Washington. To correct this, DOH will be prioritizing mostly second doses the week of Feb. 15. Appointments for first doses will be very limited both because of this rebalance and because shipments will not begin arriving until Tuesday, due to the Monday holiday. DOH expects to be back to its previous distribution plans starting the week of Feb. 22. You can learn more about this from the Washington State Department of Health news release.
