[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County ADA Transition Plan Within Public Rights-of-Way Available for Comment Online

BELLINGHAM, WA – Whatcom County Public Works has created a transition plan to make all public facilities in public right-of-way areas ADA accessible. This includes sidewalks, curb ramps, pedestrian pushbuttons, and other public facilities. While the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to all aspects of government services, this document focuses on Whatcom County Public Facilities, within public rights-of-way.

The public is invited to review and comment on this transition plan through March 31, 2021. The plan and public comment online form are available at www.whatcomcounty.us/ADATransitionPlan
