Advisories, Watches and Warnings
Weather Around Whatcom County
Whatcom County Inland Weather
Light winds and highs in the low 50s are in store for today’s Whatcom County weather. There will be partly sunny skies today, mostly cloudy skies tonight with Blaine and Sumas having a slight chance for a shower or two. Then we’ll see mostly sunny skies tomorrow. Lows will still drop down in the mid-30s though so higher elevations should expect the possibility for some frost. Sumas may see some northeast wind today around 10 mph and Point Roberts could see some northeast wind tonight in the 20 mph range and the highs will only reach the mid-40s. Newhalem will only see highs around 40 degrees for the next couple of days with lows around 30 and there is a chance for a rain/snow mixture on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
Rivers and Streams
The Nooksack River level continue to drop ever so slowly and there is nothing over the next five days that will cause that to change.
Whatcom County Coastal Weather
For the Strait and Inland Coastal Waters off Whatcom County, we’re looking for lighter winds over the next several days. Directionally, the wind will go from northeast today to east tonight and then switch again to the southeast tomorrow.
