[ARCHIVED] Remember: Ferry Trips Increase by $1 Starting on May 17; Here are Some Important Upcoming Dates

With ferry trips increasing by $1 starting on Monday, May 17, Whatcom County Public Works has some important dates and key pieces of information to remember:

  • The last on-island punch card sale before the $1 price increase is Wednesday, May 12.
  • All mail-in punch card requests must be received by Friday, May 14, in order to avoid the $1 per trip increase. The price of a mailed punch card request will be based on when it is received and not the postmarked date.
  • All un-issued (overstock) punch cards with the old pricing will be destroyed on May 17, for audit compliance.
  • The Bellingham office remains closed to the public due to the COOVID-19 pandemic. In-person punch cards should be purchased at the on-island sale on May 12.

Questions about the price increase should be emailed to [email protected] or call Rich Hudson, senior ferry master, at 360-815-5583.
