[ARCHIVED] New Sub-Population Data Graphics for Whatcom County

We’ve updated our COVID-19 data page with new vaccination data graphics. These graphics can be found at the very bottom of the page beneath the county-specific COVID-19 data dashboard. All of these charts display data from the previous week, and will be updated every Tuesday with data from the week prior.

What’s New?

Percent of Whatcom Residents Initiating COVID-19 Vaccination. This chart shows the cumulative percent of all Whatcom residents who’ve gotten at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This percentage includes residents who’ve received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which only requires one dose for full vaccination.

Percent of Population who have Initiated COVID-19 Vaccination by Sub-County Area. This graphic provides a geographic breakdown of vaccination progress in the county. Data for residents initiating vaccination is based on sub-county area residence, and sub-county areas are defined by school district boundaries.

We break down the location of confirmed cases by school district because many people tend to think about their community in connection to schools and school districts. We don’t use some other boundaries like zip codes because zip codes cut through cities and towns, so they don’t align well with the way many of us identify where we live.

Percent of Age Group Vaccinated for COVID-19. This chart breaks down data for vaccinations initiated and vaccinations completed by age group.

Percent of Gender Group Vaccinated for COVID-19 Like the previous chart, this graph also shows data for both initiated and completed vaccinations, broken down by gender.
