May 26 Planned Service Outage for the Lummi Island Ferry

The Whatcom Chief will be out of service from 11:10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, for the 2021 dry dock shipyard pre-bid meeting onboard the boat.

  • The Lummi Island Ferry will be out of service from 11:10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 26.
  • The last morning run from the Gooseberry Point side will be 10:50 a.m. and the last morning run from the Lummi Island side will be 11 a.m.  
  • The service outage must start and end on time; travelers should plan accordingly for island travel. No additional runs will be made to clear the docks.
  • This is the only planned service outage for the Lummi Island ferry scheduled in May.

The Public Works Department would like to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation and patience during this necessary dry dock shipyard pre-bid meeting.
