[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County COVID-19 Vaccine Update for 9/2/21

Vaccine Data

As of August 28, 57.9% of all Whatcom residents are fully vaccinated, and 63.6% have gotten at least one dose. Out of everyone who’s currently eligible, including adolescents and teens ages 12-17, 72.9% have gotten at least one dose.

COVID-19 vaccination continues to be the most effective preventive measure we can take against the virus. You’re much more likely to suffer severe COVID-19 illness if you aren’t vaccinated. Find a provider near you at WhatcomCounty.US/CovidVaccine, or at VaccineLocator.doh.wa.gov. You can also go to one of the pop-up clinics in the list below.

Pop-up Vaccination Clinics and Other Walk-In Options

Each of these clinics welcomes walk-ins. You don’t need an appointment, you can just show up! Some of these locations also offer COVID-19 testing.

Remember, these pop-ups are in addition to other regular vaccine clinics, such as pharmacies (large and small), grocery stores and healthcare clinics. Many of these places also accept walk-ins or same-day appointments. For a complete list of COVID-19 vaccine providers near you, go to VaccineLocator.doh.wa.gov

What To Do If You’ve Lost Your CDC Vaccination Card

You know that card you got when you got your first dose, the one from the CDC? It’s a good idea to treat that like a credit card and keep it safe. Some places are now requiring proof of vaccination before allowing entry, and others are offering discounts or other incentives to people who can prove they’ve gotten vaccinated.

If you’ve lost your card, no worries! You can still access your official vaccine record at MyIRMobile.com. It’s completely free. Record verification isn’t immediate, so plan ahead if you know you’re going to need proof of vaccination handy. Unfortunately, right now access to MyIRMobile is limited to the English language.

If you haven’t lost your vaccination card, take these steps to keep it safe:

  • Take photos of the front and back of your card to have a digital copy handy. Consider emailing it to yourself, creating an album, or adding a tag to the photo so you can find it again easily.
  • Take a photocopy if you want to carry one with you.
