[ARCHIVED] Lummi Island and Peninsula flood update

Most routes off the Lummi Peninsula are closed due to flooding. Residents of Lummi Island are asked to shelter in place. Peninsula residents should be prepared to evacuate if necessary.

  • The route at this link will remain open as long as possible, but will likely flood as some point today.

This route should be used for emergencies and first responders only. Drivers should prepare for heavy traffic and long delays. There will be limited or no access on or off the Lummi Peninsula this afternoon through late this evening.

Fire Districts 7 and 11 and Medic 1 have pre-positioned on Gooseberry Point to provide medical services in the likely event that the peninsula is cut off from the mainland by water.

Please continue to call 911 for emergencies.
