[ARCHIVED] Lummi Island and Peninsula flood update

All routes off the Lummi Peninsula are closed due to flooding. Residents of Lummi Island are asked to shelter in place. Peninsula residents should be prepared to evacuate if necessary, shelter in place if you can.

  • UPDATE 11/17 AT 8:34AM All roads from Lummi Peninsula remain unsafe. We will continue to monitor the roadways and provide an update later today. DO not attempt to drive on flooded or closed roads. Call 911 for emergencies. 
  • UPDATE 11/16 AT 6:00PM The emergency evacuation route that was previously posted has significant standing water on Hillaire between Kwina and Red River roads. Please do not attempt to drive across any standing water on roadways. There could be dangers under the water that are not visible.
